West Hartford Resident Practices ‘Mei Zen’ Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture Dr. Joyce Chung-Quiros, a resident of West Hartford has just joined the team at Integrative Wellness and Physical Therapy. West Hartford resident Dr. Joyce Chung-Quiros, who has recently joined the team at Integrative Wellness and Physical Therapy, brings several unique and valuable skills to the practice. Quiros is a Doctor of Chiropractic and practices Acupuncture, and is certified in Medical Acupuncture as well as Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture. In addition, she is currently the only practitioner in Connecticut who practices Mei Zen Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture – a superficial needling technique based in Traditional Chinese Medicine designed to increase or improve the production of collagen and elastin. Chung-Quiros is also an active member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is one of the few providers in Connecticut who is certified in the Webster Technique – a Chiropractic protocol of specialized sacral adjustments to support pregnant woman in having easier and healthier deliveries but creating a more normal position for the baby in the womb. Dr. Ayelet Connell-Giammatteo, who is also a West Hartford resident is excited to have Chung-Quiros join the team in her Bloomfield office. “We hired her because we were wanting to offer more natural and holistic services to our wellness center clients.
